RE: Vista Experience.

Well,

I bought a Dell laptop an year back with Win Vista Home Premium. And in one word my experience is not good.
The laptop is with Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz + 1 GB RAM + 120 GB HDD.

As usual with all Microsoft OS Products just after launch, Vista is having a lot of trouble and bugs. I can't advice anyone to use it until 2 years after the initial launch of this product.

Vista is good in looks. But it is quite slow. There are a lot of hidden security systems built-in and that checks every application access (even itself also). Though that does not solve anything as the viruses and spywares have been found in my system.

Also the other trouble now is that application compatibility. A lot of our old applications are not compatible with Vista and that gives a hard time to use it (though it is stupid to make an OS without a "backward compatibility". Shame on MS. They only think of business in a raw way. Linux is going to take over them very soon for the general users as well, I am sure). So I think after a few years when all the softwares will be available as "Vista Compatible" then it will be working fine.
